The Entrance

A great rock outcropping juts out of the crest of a large, wooded hill. Winds buffet the hill continuously, blowing and whistling through the trees. Vines and vegetation blanket the prominence on all sides. The rock itself is a heavy blackish slate. A lonely tower sits perched on the heights.

A cave-like opening, somewhat obscured by vegetation, is noticeable at the end of a treacherous pathway leading up to the craggy outcropping of black rock. Sweeping aside some of the vines and branches reveals an opening that leads straight into the rock formation. Old and relatively fresh tracks and other signs of activity cover the ground.

A ten-foot-wide corridor leads to a large wooden door. The door opens freely, and upon closer examination appears to have been forced, breaking any mechanism that may have once locked it. Inside, the air is heavy, wet, and musty. There is no light you can see and the darkness is oppressive. Fortunately, the light of Bo'Lin's glaive and Valvofer's spell repel the darkness and lift your spirits. The walls, hewn from the black slate, are relatively smooth, well finished, and generally in good repair. The ceiling appears to be a height of eight to ten feet.
